Specialty Chemicals Processors
The Group has represented manufacturers, processors, and distributors of a wide variety of specialty chemical products such as: adhesives, sealants, cleaning preparations (including hand and glass cleaners and degreasing solvents), deodorizers, rust removers, high performance resins (including polyester and coating resins), foams, surfactants, fragrance additives, and specialty paints.

Sample Transactions
  • The sale of Infiltrator Systems, Inc., one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of plastic chamber systems for on-site septic leachfields and stormwater management, to Graham Partners, a Philadelphia-based private equity firm.


  • The $102.6 million recapitalization of Pretium Packaging LLC, a St. Louis-based manufacturer of blow molded plastic bottles. Dymas Capital Management, the lead senior lender, with Congress Financial Corporation, provided $66.0 million of senior term and revolving debt facilities, including a $25 million revolving credit line and $41.0 million in term debt facilities. American International Group, Inc. subsidiaries provided $26.0 million of subordinated debt, and other investors contributed an additional $10.6 million in subordinated securities.


  • The sale of Dynisco, LLC, a portfolio company of Madison Capital Partners and a manufacturer of branded test, measurement, and process-control devices for the plastics industry, to Audax Group.


  • The sale by The Riverside Company of its portfolio company NPC, Inc., a manufacturer of flexible rubber pipe to manhole connectors, to American Capital Strategies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:ACAS).


  • The sale by Madison Capital Partners of its portfolio company, Synventive Molding, Inc., a manufacturer of hot runner systems for the plastics injection molding industry to Advent International, a private equity firm.


  • The sale by The Jordan Company of their portfolio company, Permatex, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of premium branded specialty chemical products for the automotive and industrial maintenance and repair markets, to Illinois Tool Works (NYSE:ITW), a manufacturer of highly engineered products including fasteners and components, specialty systems, equipment and a variety of consumable products.


  • The private placement of debt for PW Eagle, a leading extruder of PVC pipe products, for the waterworks, irrigation, construction, and electrical markets, with Fleet Capital and Churchill Capital.


  • The sale of ARR-MAZ Products, L.P., a subsidiary of Process Chemicals LLC a portfolio company of C3 Holdings, and producer of process chemicals and additives for the fertilizer and asphalt industries to Wind Point Partners.


  • The sale by PhiBro Animal Health Corp. of its Mineral Resource Technologies division, a manager and marketer of ASTM specification quality fly ash for civil construction, to CEMEX, the second largest distributor of cement and ready mix producers in the United States.
