Mr. Chefetz is a Managing Director focused on financing, advisory and restructuring work for consumer products companies and retailers. He joined Lazard Middle Market in 2009 with 18 years of experience advising clients on private placements, PIPES, IPO’s, follow-on offerings, convertibles, high-yield offerings, buy-side and sell-side M&A and restructurings. Mr. Chefetz has been involved in transactions in the United States and Europe across a broad range of consumer industries including hardlines, softlines, consumer products, hospitality, eCommerce, food and beverage and consumer finance.

Prior to joining Lazard Middle Market, Mr. Chefetz was a Managing Director at Thomas Weisel Partners, LLC where was a Co-Head of the Consumer Banking practice. Prior to joining Thomas Weisel Partners as a founding partner in 1999, Mr. Chefetz was a Director at Citigroup, specializing in financing and mergers and acquisitions to the consumer industry as well as sponsor coverage. Mr. Chefetz spent several years in consulting at Ernst and Young following business school. Mr. Chefetz started his investment banking career at Drexel Burnham Lambert in 1985.
