Mr. Clancy has 18 years of executive management experience at Fortune 500s, start-up companies and investment banks. His functional responsibilities have included general management, corporate development, investment banking, marketing, and sales. He has broad industry experience in technology, telecom, software, IT services, outsourcing, and marketing.
Prior to joining Goldsmith Agio Helms (now Lazard Middle Market), Mr. Clancy was senior vice president and the first senior executive (after the founders) at WAM!NET Inc., the 500 employee global digital transport and data storage provider. At WAM!NET, he was responsible for corporate development, marketing, and sales from the company's initial launch. In this role, he managed the company's financing process, helping raise over $500 million of the company's funding through public debt, private equity, strategic investments, bank credit, and network facilities. During his tenure, the company was awarded a $1 billion contract to support EDS in the rebuilding of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corp's network and storage infrastructures, acquired and integrated one international and two domestic companies, developed a joint venture for the company's market launch in Japan, and drove 16 consecutive record revenue quarters.
Prior to joining WAM!NET, Mr. Clancy was an executive at Ceridian Employer Services, the $450 million payroll and HR outsourcer, where he was head of marketing and strategy. Prior to Ceridian, Mr. Clancy was a marketing executive at General Mills, Inc., responsible for full P&L for new and established brands.
Mr. Clancy received his masters of business administration from The Wharton School of Business and his bachelor of science in economics from Moorhead State University where he was selected a Presidential Scholar.
