Mr. Egeland has more than 15 years of investment banking, private equity, and principal investing experience across a wide variety of industries including business services, technology, financial services, consumer services, industrial products and services, manufacturing, natural resources/environment and real estate with particular expertise in business services and technology.
Prior to joining Goldsmith Agio Helms (now Lazard Middle Market), Mr. Egeland was a director in the Technology Investment Banking Group of Credit Suisse First Boston where he advised technology companies and private equity firms in connection with mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and financings. Previously, Mr. Egeland was in the Investment Banking Group of RBC Capital where he worked in the technology and financial institutions groups. Prior to investment banking, Mr. Egeland was an alternative investment analyst at the Minnesota State Board of Investment, the state pension fund, where he focused on private equity, venture capital, real estate and natural resource investments.
Mr. Egeland graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor of science degree in economics, received a master of business administration degree with an emphasis in finance from the University of St. Thomas, and attended the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
