Mr. Freeman has extensive corporate finance experience, having advised on a wide range of investment banking advisory assignments including mergers, acquisitions,
recapitalizations, debt and equity placements, and strategic advisory assignments. He has extensive healthcare services transactional experience with emphasis
on payers, providers, home healthcare, healthcare IT, and outsourced services providers to the industry. With approximately 15 years of M&A experience, Mr.
Freeman brings creative thinking, financial acumen, and tireless energy to his client engagements. He currently leads the Lazard Middle Market Chicago office
and the firm’s Healthcare Services industry practice.
Mr. Freeman is a past Director of the Chicago Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. In addition, he is a frequent speaker on mergers and
acquisitions-related topics throughout the country and at many of the nation’s top business schools.
Prior to joining Goldsmith Agio Helms (now Lazard Middle Market), Mr. Freeman was with Arthur Andersen both as an auditor, and later as a member of its
Corporate Finance practice group where he helped manage due diligence, litigation consulting, and M&A advisory engagements. Mr. Freeman has also held positions
with the law firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobsen in Washington, D.C., as well as Honeywell International.
Mr. Freeman earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and also received a Masters of
Business Administration with High Honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Mr. Freeman is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Freeman resides in Glen Ellyn, Illinois with his wife Dr. Jody Freeman, a board certified OB/GYN.
