Mr. Hallett is in his 25th year of merger and acquisition transaction execution. He has experience in industrial products, energy, energy services and equipment, transportation and logistics, building products, equipment rental, consumer products, packaging, plastics, food, and business services.
Mr. Hallett serves on the advisory boards of Marquette Capital Partners, a provider of mezzanine financing, and Solar Plastics, Inc., a rotational molder of a wide range of plastic products. He currently is a member of the board of directors of American Automobile Association Minneapolis and serves on its Finance & Investment and Audit committees. Mr. Hallett is a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions committee of the Section of Business Law of the American Bar Association Section. He is a frequent speaker on mergers and acquisitions topics throughout the country.
Prior to joining Goldsmith Agio Helms (now Lazard Middle Market), Mr. Hallett was a partner at Lindquist & Vennum, a major Minneapolis-based law firm. He provided clients with legal counsel in the areas of corporate and tax law in connection with mergers and acquisitions. Before graduating from law school, he worked as a tax specialist at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell, & Co. and at Touche Ross & Co.
Mr. Hallett holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting, with honors, from the University of Wyoming, a juris doctorate magna cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law, and a master of laws in taxation from the New York University School of Law.
