Mr. Hallett has 21 years of experience executing merger and acquisition transactions, including representing small-cap, middle-market public companies. Mr. Hallett has broad industry experience in industrial products, building products, capital goods, plastics, consumer products, food, packaging, business services, energy, energy services, equipment rental, and printing.

Mr. Hallett serves on the advisory board of Solar Plastics, Inc., a rotational molder of a wide range of plastic products. He is a member of the board of directors of American Automobile Association Minneapolis and serves on its Finance and Audit committees.

Prior to joining Goldsmith Agio Helms (now Lazard Middle Market), Mr. Hallett was a partner at Lindquist & Vennum, a major Minneapolis-based law firm. He provided clients with legal counsel in the areas of corporate and tax law in connection with mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hallett served clients doing business in many industries, including medical devices, healthcare, food, plastics, glass, banking, finance, testing and measurement systems, manufacturing, and advertising. Before graduating from law school, he worked as a tax specialist at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell, & Co. and at Touche Ross & Co.

Mr. Hallett holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting, with honors, from the University of Wyoming, a juris doctorate magna cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law, and a master of laws in taxation from the New York University School of Law. He is a frequent speaker on mergers and acquisitions topics throughout the country.
