Dermott O’Flanagan joined Lazard Middle Market in 2004 and is a vice president in the restructuring group. Mr. O’Flanagan also worked in the M&A group, where he was focused on sell-side engagements for entrepreneurs, private companies and private equity groups within the firm’s consumer, retail and direct marketing group. While with the group, he worked on a number of catalog and multi-channel retailer transactions, including Performance Bike, Pioneer Services, Potpourri Group, Specialty Catalog, and SkyMall. Mr. O’Flanagan has worked on numerous out-of-court restructurings, refinancings and distressed sales as well as a number of Chapter 11 bankruptcy engagements. Recent financial advisory assignments include Dura Automotive, Heartland Automotive Services, InPhonic, Magnesita Refratarios, Morris Publishing, Meridian Automotive Systems, and Waterford Wedgwood.

Prior to joining Lazard Middle Market, Mr. O’Flanagan was a financial analyst with McGladrey Pullen, where he worked on sell-side mergers and acquisitions engagements for private middle market companies.

Mr. O’Flanagan received a bachelor of science degree in finance from the Georgetown University.
