George Sent has over 15 years of investment banking and financial consulting experience with consumer products, food and beverage companies.

Prior to joining Lazard Middle Market, Mr. Sent was with the Demeter Group, a consumer-focused boutique investment bank based in San Francisco. He also worked as a vice president at Banc of America Securities, investment banking in the consumer, food and beverage group, where he helped source and complete transactions totaling in excess of $10 billion within the food and beverage industry. Previously, Mr. Sent was director of corporate finance and investor relations at The J.M. Smucker Company, where he was responsible for the company’s strategic financial analysis and corporate finance functions. In addition, he directed detailed M&A examinations for potential targets, including synergy and integration modeling, due diligence and preparation of regulatory filings.

Mr. Sent graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell University, where he was a Johnson School Finance Fellow, and received a bachelor of business administration degree cum laude in accounting and finance from the University of Cincinnati. He is also a certified public accountant.
