Mr. Tipler has nearly 10 years of experience in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, finance and other strategic transactions. Mr. Tipler has successfully represented dozens of middle market companies, completing transactions for and with entrepreneurs, private equity groups and public companies in a broad range of industries including manufacturing, construction, restaurant, retail, direct marketing, energy, telecom, software, technology, consumer goods, medical device, medical technology and other health-related companies.

Prior to joining Goldsmith Agio Helms (now Lazard Middle Market), Mr. Tipler practiced law with the international law firm of Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. in Minneapolis. As an attorney, Mr. Tipler advised businesses ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies on a variety of legal and corporate finance matters, such as the corporate and securities aspects of mergers and acquisitions, strategic transactions, public and private securities offerings, Securities and Exchange Commission reporting and compliance, and a wide array of general corporate finance issues.

Mr. Tipler holds a masters of business administration degree from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Mr. Tipler also graduated magna cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law and is a member of the Minnesota bar.
